Sustainability
Sustainability is the life blood of Wild Brush. Which might sound contradictory; why create new things when so much is ending up in the landfill already? Well, a lot of those things aren't being created thoughtfully. They're not designed to fit properly or last long term. Our gear is created using almost entirely post-consumer recycled materials and shipped using post-consumer recycled packaging! Though our small batch production still impacts our planet (because everything does), our gear is designed to withstand heavy use. Our lifetime warranty ensures you can mail it back in for repairs whenever you need and you can send it back to us when it's time to be laid to rest for recycling. Wild Brush aims to be a more sustainable option for outdoor gear in the industry.
How Sustainability is Implemented at Wild Brush
-
Recycled Fabric
100% of the fabrics used (e.g. EPX200, recycled Xpac, Eco-ripstop) to create our products are made from recycled materials. We order from sustainable partners such as Challenge Sailcloth and Ripstop by the Roll. Even business cards, tags, and thank you notes are made out of recycled papers.
-
Compostable Packaging
Our products are shipped using compostable and recycled materials from Better Packaging Co. We currently use their POLLAST!C Poly Mailers made from 100% recycled Ocean bound plastic pollution, Bamboo Envelopes, Compostable Packing Tape, and Compostable Labels to get your orders to you.
-
Saving Every Scrap
Every scrap material is saved to be used later. You'll notice products sold on the site made from a mix of scrap fabrics. Even cut threads are saved to be reused in smaller pieces of gear or for stuffing dog toys and floor poofs. For the entirety of 2024, we produced only one tall kitchen trash bag of waste.
-
Sustainable Design
Our products are designed and cut to minimize fabric waste and to be long lasting. They're generated in small batches to reduce overproduction.
-
Warranty Recycling Program
We offer a lifetime warranty for standard wear and tear of our products. While shipping is unfortunately not free, repair is. All items will be fixed
-
Sustainability Goals
Sustainability is considered in all stages of design and production with improvements every year. We aim to use 100% recycled materials and hope to one day be solar run when we have a studio space of our own.

Recycled Materials
